Work
Two things I'm proud of.
One built with a local business, one built and run by me. Both started as a rough idea.
A booking system
Farm Kitchen Southsea
The rough idea
Farm Kitchen Southsea came to me with a rough idea for a booking system. They knew what they wanted to achieve, but not what it would take.
How I worked
I worked closely with the people involved, listening to how the business really runs, so that what I built was right for them and not just what was easiest to build.
What I built
A complete booking system, from the ground up, made for how they work.
What happened
It brought in more business, it made them easier to find online, and it earned them money. I have their permission to show the work, and the story speaks for itself.
A product of my own
Furtherly
Furtherly is a job search product for students and graduates. It has accounts, pricing and a dashboard, and I built all of it.
It belongs to Calamari Small Ltd, the company I am the CEO of. So I know first hand what it takes to turn an idea into something people use, and to keep it running afterwards.
Before all that
Years of the everyday work.
I have spent years running marketing and social media for government funded organisations and for local hospitality. It taught me how to get a lot done with a little, and how to explain it clearly to busy people.
